Children's Testimonials

"Me and my friend used to fall out most playtimes. We would usually feel sad and angry with each other. The teacher said we should find different friends to play with but I really like my friend when we get along. Mrs Ison taught us about how we think in different ways and this has helped us understand each other better and we fall out a lot less now".
Sam, aged 11
"Wow, Miss, look! I got her [fellow pupil] worry down from an 8 out of 10 to a 2 out of 10!"
Ellie, aged 7
"I like the wiggly eye bit".
Maeva, aged 4, talking about eye movement therapy

“I went to see Debbie when my mum said that my anxiety was stopping me from doing the things I enjoyed. I was afraid to walk to school in case a stranger kidnapped me, I was even worried that I might be taken in a supermarket. I used to worry all of the time but then I started working with Debbie and she showed me loads of different ways to take control of my thoughts and I feel so much better now. I am confident in myself and my abilities. I now feel safe to be on my own. She even helped me to eat a variety of foods because I have always been a very fussy eater".
Ollie, aged 13

"I used to worry about germs but now I can do what she [Debbie] has shown me and I now know germs are okay and I only need to wash my hands until they are clean. I know as well that I can tap on my worries to make them go away and I can change the bad thoughts in my head".
Vitorijas, aged 9
"We can look after people".
Albert, aged 8 talking about his experience with Therapy In Education
"We can do therapy. I use it at playtime to help my friends’ sometimes".
